Punk / Rock
Die Randgruppe — that's three guys from Hamburg who have been through thick and thin together since childhood: Jonas (28), Finn (27) and Mika (27). Raised between backyards, schoolyard benches and smoky rehearsal rooms, they realised as teenagers that they didn't quite fit in anywhere — and drew their strength from exactly that. The band name says it all: better proudly on the fringe than conformed in the middle.
Jonas yells and thrashes the guitar, Finn pounds the bass, Mika beats the drums like his life depends on it — together they are a wall of noise, sweat and honest lyrics. They live for punk and rock and don't mince words: against hypocrisy, against standing still, against anything that takes itself too seriously. Their first EP was made in a damp basement rehearsal room in St. Pauli, recorded with more rage than budget.
Live, Die Randgruppe are pure release: no setlist is sacred, no stage too small, no chorus too loud to shout along to. Anyone who has seen them once knows: this isn't a show, it's an outlet — for them and for everyone in the crowd who has ever felt like an outsider too.
