Ben Auris

Chill / Live

Ben Auris, 30, is the down-to-earth buddy type whose good mood you believe instantly — not a polished pop star, but the guy next door. He came to music almost by accident: growing up in a small town, it was his uncle's old guitar being passed around the campfire that made him realise a single chord can get a whole circle singing along. That feeling never let him go.

At 16 he started his first band, which fell apart after three rehearsals; at 19 he wrote his own songs at night on a borrowed laptop — lines about friends, fresh starts and everyday madness. Instead of a grand plan there were open mics, kitchen sessions in shared flats and busking in the pedestrian zone — the place where you learn whether a chorus really sticks.

The breakthrough came quietly: a feel-good track, recorded just for his circle of friends, travelled through playlists until a few hundred listeners turned into hundreds of thousands. Today he fills small clubs and big festival tents with warm German pop and a relaxed hip-hop touch. His message fits on a beer mat: we're doing fine — not perfect, but real.
